Last month I went to the chiropractor because I felt like I was walking and moving like I was about 80 years old. Very stiff and bent over. Not a good look for me. I think I’ve improved greatly over the past month and I’ve been feeling much more flexible and walking with better posture. Because of the accident last week, she ordered x-rays for me. Actually, she was thinking of doing it anyway, but this way the insurance will pay for them. So besides verifying that I didn’t do myself any harm being tossed about in my car, she also checked out how my spine looked. Here, you be the judge:

This is just my neck and me standing what I think is straight. See the tilt of my head? Opposite the tilt of my clavicle or whatever the heck that bone is just above my shoulders.
The good thing is that she saw much fewer signs of arthritis than she expected. Just a little bump on one of the joints in my neck. I credit my wearing a copper bracelet for the past twenty years or so for that. My hips were blatantly unlevel, too. And even I, who never watches medical dramas, can see the problem here:

See how nicely those vertebrae align with nice, even spaces until that one at the bottom that looks like it’s been yanked out of place? I’d say that might have something to do with the pain I sometimes have at the base of my spine. The good news is that she thinks much of this can be corrected even at my age. (Not that I’m THAT old but my habits have had a few decades to get settled in.)
End of medical lecture. :)
