Yesterday I gained possession of something I hadn’t seen in decades:  the montage of my high school graduating class:  Buchanan High’s Class of 1970.  Yikes!  That’s forty years ago!  There were 133 people in my graduating class and back then in our senior pictures, all the guys had on a tuxedo jacket and bow tie and all the girls had a black V-necked drape.  My hair is long and I remember my mom made me put some curl into it for the pictures.  I had not yet gotten the cool wire-rimmed glasses that I wore most of my senior year so I have on square black frames that wouldn’t look all that out of place today.  Only one girl has hair about as long as mine, most have a bouffant ‘do leftover from the 60’s.  I wonder what happened to all those teenagers?  About half the names seem familiar and I remember maybe twenty of them and maintained communication with only two intermittently.  And one of those is a cousin of mine.  Sad but true.  In today’s wired world, I wonder how much better recent graduates will fare in forty years.
