Out with the Old; In with the New

My first attempt at knitting a sweater didn’t go very well.  I finished the sweater and assembled it and blocked it.  But it just didn’t look right.  It just doesn’t work to take a pattern for a size 10 woman and multiply everything by two to come out with a size 20 sweater.  So last week I ripped it all out, gave the yarn a good soak, let it dry draped over hangers, then borrowed Tempe’s tools to rewind into balls.  I spent a lot of time researching do-it-yourself sweater patterns and came up with an amalgamation of about three.  What I hope to end up with is a V-necked cardigan with raglan sleeves made to my own measurements.  Unless it turns out hideous, I’ll post pictures when I’m done.  No promises when that might be.
