I don’t know how I’ve been sewing for over 40 years and I’ve never known about a walking foot until now. It should come as standard equipment on every sewing machine. It feeds the top fabric evenly with the bottom fabric. Awesome. The only drawback I’ve found is that this particular model doesn’t accommodate my other new toy: a quilting guide bar. I guess life just can’t be perfect. :)
